Brooke Seidelmann is a multimedia artist reinterpreting traditional botanical subject matter into contemporary studies of dense, saturated color and meandering, gestural line work.
She began her career as a curator and exhibition designer in New York City and Washington, D.C. After receiving her master’s degree at Christie’s Auction House and bachelor’s in Art History at Columbia University, she went on to curate and produce more than 30 exhibitions, featuring the works of over 500 artists. Now based in Charleston, S.C., she has stepped out of the urban art scene and creates art herself. Inspired by the tropical beauty outside, she captures her backyard subjects, transposing nature’s vibrance onto wood panels and delicate paper.
